Spike count
It's only April and this plant Vanda Kiwi Bob is showing signs of a second spike already. So to amuse myself I thought I would record how many times it blooms this year.
Grown bareroot in a glass vase, watered twice a week in a south facing window with no supplemental lighting.

very nice.
Look at those roots.
It's very hard to find what orchids will do well in our climate so I thought a Neostylis lou sneary would be a good choice but it's only just grown a leaf.
How long have you had yours for?

I think I got this plant back in 2014 as a small seedling, so it has grown fairly quickly. How long have you had Lou for?

congrats jcec,
lou is producing a new root. Only got him last year but I've cheated and moved him from the window. He prefers his new spot under artificial lighting I think.
This vanda was only just registered a couple of years ago from what I can see, you did well getting a seedling so long ago.

The Motes, who bred this, visited Scotland a few years ago and took orders for seedlings, I bought four at £7 a plant. They are all doing well.
