Oh wow! Thanks! This is a really rare and special one!
When the botanical artist and Amazon advocate Margarete Mee wanted to see it to make a painting of it in-situ, here is the story of how that happened... Nonesuch Expeditions - Margaret Mee's last Amazon Journey I saw a plant growing on a tree in Brazil the summer before last, but of course no flower. The owner of the boat had hosted her at his cabin, she was a good friend of his and told her story - so this also brings back memories of a wonderful trip.

Moonflower cactus (Selecereus witii) in-situ. Last photo shows the fruit - aftermath of the flower that, of course, nobody got to see.

I only got to see the plant, but that was special of itself. It breaks my heart to wonder when anybody will be able to make that trip again..That part of Brazil (Manaus, and Amazonas State in general) has been hit very hard by COVID (actually the whole country, but that part is very isolated, not a lot of resources for anybody who gets seriously ill).
