Default Another Saturday Project - more pots

Apart from washing and combing manes and tails - don't ask! - I spent today playing with pots! First, I finished off two pots that I did in the bonfire yesterday. Then I had a play with the bonsai pots that were delivered the other day! Talk about a fun day!

You can see the two pots in the Neo thread:

And here are some thoughts about what to pot in the new bonsai pots...
Flat pot, my second Sedirea japonica:

In the crescent pot, my first Neo:

Thanks everyone, I had a great time playing with these. I'm probably not done yet! They definitely give a different look to the orchids!

More pots arrived!! From Erin Bonsai::Bonsai and Bonsai Pots for Sale Online

Here are the little Bonsai 'accent' pots - just the perfect size for Dendrobium cuthbertsonii!!

My first Sedirea (which is shooting out 2 new roots!!! :) fits perfectly in the largest accent pot:

How cute is THAT!

I especialy like the Sedirea in its new pot! That pot looks like it has little white horses running along the bottom.

I did NOT know the Dendrobium cuthbertsonii was so small! That is really cute in it's new home too!

What cha going to put the the grey accent pot?

!!!GAWD, I love these and love the way that they look together!!!

P.S. Thanks for posting pics so quick. . .I wasn't able to wait patiently, however.

Marilyn, you're gonna kill me but I went shopping! AT ERIN'S after I said I was going to wait. I not only met my five pot goal, I found nine.

It's all Shannan's fault.

Wait a minute, Missy! Whose fault!?! Who showed the site to whom?? HMMMM???

Which reminds me... for showing me their site! My orchid collection is never going to look the same!!

I've got 9 little terracotta pots (2 are in one pot, I've still got all 10 seedlings from the flask!!) of Den. cuthbertsonii... so those little tiny ones from Erin Pottery will work just great. I love the way my orginal cuthbertsonii looks in its new pot. Yes, they are that small!! Though some of the flasklings are already taller than my original one, I don't think they get much bigger than that.

Doesn't that pot set off the Sedirea really well?? I'm happy, oh so happy!

Cool New Pots

Shakkai love the way the orchids look in those new pots. I have a question and that is how do you mount them through the hole in the bottom? Are you using wire? It would be nice if you could show of the process you use from start to finish.

I really like the look and just wait until they bloom
