Sheridan, thanks!!! The first two actually had roots that were quite long, so I just gently worked the roots through the holes and that holds the plant in place. However, now I am re-thinking that, as it means that I can't put the pots on a flat surface.

OK, break here folks! Shannon, can you make us some clear or semi-clear Paph pots? I'm really searching here and ready to use "bottled water" bottles as a pot. Can't find the Paph pots anywhere (not clear.) Sorry for the jack, but I'm really searching here.

Actually not just me, thank you! There are lots of Paph growers that would like clear paph pots that are taller than wide. Paphs need deep pots. Sorry for the jack. Honest!

Ross, You may need to write to one of the manufacturer's and plead your cause - and tell them about this neglected part of the market! I can't find any clear pots anywhere that are taller than they are wide. The closest I could find were ones that were almost as high as they were wide, for example: 19er Topf transparent :: Schwerter Orchideenzucht - Das Orchideen Zentrum Westfalens
and
9er Topf(Aircone Pot) transparent :: Schwerter Orchideenzucht - Das Orchideen Zentrum Westfalens
