I just noticed this little Spiranthes growing in the pot of one of my Cymbidium that's in semi-hydro. It's probably the result of a selfing last year of Spiranthes 'Chadd's Ford':

That is so neat! I have been learning more about Spiranthes species in the U.S. and Canada, and it's amazing to see them just happily growing in your backyard.

They're among the easiest orchids to grow from seed. No flasking is required, just scatter seed on a suitable substrate and let nature take its course.
