Default Demo: Schomburgkia Division

Blain from Orchids for the People demonstrates how to divide a Schomburgkia. A monster of a Schomburgkia.

Amateur!
I wish I had filmed it but I didn't but the best job I ever saw of someone dividing a giant Schombugkia like that was Glen Decker the former owner of Piping Rock Orchids.
At his final open house last summer, he chopped up a huge Schomburgkia (maybe not quite as large as OFTP's above) with a sawzall as a demonstration and threw pieces out to attendees to take home.
Someone asked about it causing disease to which he responded.... "why? That's a brand new blade!"
He was also obviously making a point that most orchids are much tougher than we give them credit for.
Everyone I know that got a piece of that plant says theirs is doing great.
