I love how all these critters just seem to randomly fall into the cute or creepy category depending mostly on exposure and personification lol

They are all over the place here, especially in the south and central areas of the country. Sometimes there are so many that their sound dominates everything.
Bty, they are herbivorous but one have to understand better their life cycle.
