Ray, just curious, how would the photosynthetic microbes pump sugars to the plants? Do you mean they secrete sucrose and the plants then take it up?

I'm sorry. I didn't see this post.

The microbes populate both the plant vasculum and the medium. When those that internal secrete sugars, they are right there in the vascular fluid to be utilized.
