I think many of us tend to promote things we find effective and helpful. That you happen to sell the product is not a problem for me...it would just make it easy for me to find it if I needed it.

I promote the use of Calcium (many years ago, I lost many plants from Calcium deficiency after shutting down my pond and switching from pond water to rain water). I promote the orchid vendors that have treated me really, really well as I hope that others will be as happy as I have been.

So, keep doing what you do and please do not let the negative win over what you know is good.

Apparently if you take a leaf, cut if off the plant, spray it with seaweed extract, the leaf will dry up and turn brown - except where you sprayed it.

I have added calcium for now as it was calcium deficient - might have to give this magical seaweed extract a try if I can't succeed in a week.
I have used Shropshire Seaweed - available on Amazon - plants have got good root systems - not a scientific study but it certainly didn't harm the plants.

When it comes to social media, I never say anything to an individual on a forum that I wouldn't put out publicly. When I use email or private messaging, it's intended for the purpose of not disclosing "private" information, i.e., a phone number, an address, a topic off conversation of the thread.

I surely know, Ray, that we've bumped heads a time or two. Publicly, not privately. And we know each other better because of it, at least in my belief. Folks who use private messaging or emails for that sort of criticism, in my opinion only, are folks who are too afraid to voice their opinion publicly then debate the issue publicly. Tilting at windmills, if you will, with no real basis for their opinion. Delete, and move forward.

I appreciate your knowledge, expertise, and obvious passion for researching. I'm sure not capable of the research, but enjoy the benefits of yours. Even when I choose not to take the advice.
