Default Oncidium Twinkle - Repot and unexpected division

Hello, my friends

My twinkle, althought not doing so good (I suspect mites, just waiting for the flowers to fade to apply an acaricide), I decided to repot it as there were new growths without enough space to grow (smashed against the pot edge).

As I took it out of the pot, the smalest pbulbs (with a new growth) separated from the main plant. So without planning I got a division.
Not too much faith in it but... anyway, I've put it in a pot with small size bark mixed with sphagnum, in a bright and warm place and water it by spraying the medium top layer everytime it gets dry.
Here are some photos of the mother plant after repot (with the new growth) and the division with my finger so that you can see how small it is.

Hopefully there will be good updates on this one.

It looked great when it was in bloom. Good luck with it. I hope both of them will thrive.

The mother plant is in bloom right now. The photos were all taken yesterday right after repot.

Oh, okay. I guess that is what you described in your OP! Anyway, I love twinkles, would love to have one, but Oncidiums don't do well here, so I always appreciate it when other forum members share photos of theirs.

Update on this one...
Temps are now higher, days are brighter... new roots and a new leaf...never let it dry, mist heavily...medium is small bark mixed with chips of sphagnum moss.

Update on this one...
The new roots seems to be more or less established (at least didn't dry or rot).
The smallest leaf was born after I pot it and seems to be growing fine.

Some photos:
