You didn't even mention the fragrance. As if the flowers alone aren't pretty enough, M. spectabilis has an intense, room-filling, powdery floral fragrance.
I love the big lipped hybrid, especially since the petals seem to be relatively flat in appearance. Do you know what the ID on that is?
I agree, this species (like many/most Miltonias) is a good grower in warm to intermediate conditions. They love lots of water year round and bright conditions, which causes them to grow like weeds. Some of my Miltonias have experienced temperatures as low as 32/33F (0C) and as high as 100F+ (38C). While they weren't happy about the extremes, they survived.
