Psychopsis query ...

I've always thought Psychopsis flowers were pretty neat and toy around with the idea of trying one now and again. But one of the traits I would like the plant itself to have is well mottled leaves. I have seen some that did, and others that didn't. So here's my Q (or Qs) .... Is there a particular species or hybrid that generally has heavily mottled leaves or does it vary greatly by individual plant or is it a matter of the light conditions in which it is grown?
