Trichopilia orchids are quite easy to grow in your zone. It is better to grow them in hanging baskets or pots (due to their pendant inflorescences), a*potting mixture should be open with well draining water capacity such as a*mixture of seedling grade pine bark and some sphagnum moss. Provide them with bright filtered light*or semi-shade. Temperatures should be warm to cool, water well when the*plant is in an*active growth stage and moderately while on its way to dormancy after flowering. Feed them with fertilizers when actively growing, but hold fertilizers during its dormancy stage. Provide it with humidity with air movement, mimicking the climate of their native biomes.
