Rossioglossum Rawdon Jester
A reliable bloomer grown outside. Last year I added some sphagnum moss to the mix and it seems to like it better. Was potted in pure bark before and I guess not getting enough water from me 😔

Don't know how I missed this post. Yours looks great!
I love these and have tried several, a Rawdon Jester and a grande. I still have the Rawdon Jester but have never got it to bloom. I can't see why but it never does much. Well, it is getting two new growths now so Maybe one of these days. I'll enjoy yours in the mean time.
Could you show a picture of the entire plant?

Hausermann's has small plants now for $7.99. Mine should get here this week.

As you can see it suffered a bit of dehydration during it's last growth cycle.
Also they like temps on the cool side.
I leave it out in the winter with min temp around 48 or so, but days typically are in the 60s or higher. Summer in full shade outside

It's a primary hybrid of two former Odontoglossum species that look almost identical. They were thought to be the same species for a while. I'm hoping they really are different species and it has hybrid vigor.

From what I have read, they are two species. One is grande and the other is something else, I forget at the moment. One likes cooler temps than the other. So you would think there would be some hybrid vigour. The greenhouse is fairly cool in winter, but maybe it needs to sit on the windowsill out there where it would be even cooler and where I keep a few Nobile Dens. Does yours get much light in winter? Mine is under T5's year round a lough I grew it outside one summer if not two. Thanks for the full plant shots. Great growing!

In winter it grows against a north facing wall outside.
Bear in mind, this is Southern California, even in winter direct sunlight can still burn plants. I'd say light level is same as Cattleya, cause I grow both side by side. I think it does like it cool.
I bought it from Santa Barbara orchid estate, they said they grow it with Cymbidiums.
