Miltonia - Orchid Board

Are these new PBs growing on my Miltonia spectabilis ? They are growing from the base of the big PB. They don't look much like a PB

Could be a spike, not sure from the picture.

They are new growths (pseudo bulbs).

I have this one(var. mooreliana)in a 4-5"pot and this is the growing pattern.They are quite the rambler.My blooms had a licorice fragrance. The fellow from HI. posted a foto not too long ago of his in a basket and it was a WOW!

Thanks, all. This one is new to me (see, always a newbie ) so I am not familiar with it's growth pattern. The basket idea sounds cool. Maybe when mine's bigger and starts to grow roots I'll give it a try.

Yes, definitely growths. Mine did nothing but grow (never did bloom before I finally killed it) so I saw a lot of these!

Well, that's kind of depressing.

Hope I at least get a few blooms .

Mine's doing the same thing, also from Andy's, probably obtained the same time at the bare-root sale. Did you notice how yellow it was when it arrived? Everything I've read says it needs to get that much light to bloom. Anybody with experience care to comment on this?

Mine is on a cedar board in my sun room and gets 4-5 hours of direct sun through a window daily. It remains yellow.

I got one off Ebay that was extremely yellow. Still growing so I am not sure about blooming light. I also got one in bloom from a Michigan Greenhouse that is more green. According to Carter and Holmes they need less light. From their site:
Light conditions for Miltonias are similar to those for Phalaenopsis or Paphiopedilums – bright but indirect light. Direct sun will burn the thin leaves.
