Default Repotting Oncostele Catatante

Hi, all,
I have a large Oncostele Catatante , really crowding in a 6 inch clay orchid pot. I would like to repot it into either a larger pot or divide it, but I am not sure when would be the right time to do it. It has growths of multiple sizes, but no little new ones and I can't see the roots to see if there is any new growth on them. I'm not even sure of when it bloomed last. I'm thinking it bloomed in the spring. I usually write on the tag when one blooms, but somehow I missed this one. So, long discourse to ask, when would be a good time to repot? I really don't want to lose this one as it's really specimen size.

Roots will follow new growth - usually when they already have some size to them. I think if it's growing, it is a good time to repot / divide. I've really never had issues with most Onc alliance after repots or dividing - it seems they are almost always growing!
