Cute little yellow Oncidium

Another of my impulse buys a little while back. A cute little yellow oncidium.

Bought from my local garden center the nursery tag indicated a grower in Europe who do sell Oncidium Twinkle according to their website and that's the closet match I can find on their website but they don't name everything they sell and they picture two different colours of Twinkle neither of which are this one.

So while it could be a Twinkle I can't be sure. Tiny little cute flowers and it was on offer as most of the flowers had faded, just a few still looking good. Couldn't resist it

Hi Rosie, I have a very small Oncidium cheirophorum and the flowers look very much like yours. The pesudobulbs are small, the plant is only about 5" tall. I believe it is a parent of the Twinkle.

Yes, mine is small like that and it does look similar doesn't it. I think mine must be related to Twinkle at least. Yours is so pretty Pattywack

Thank you Rosie, I've only had this plant since February and it was an impluse buy too! I live close to Al's Orchids and visit occasionally. This little cutie caught my eye as it is so small and it had a small spike beginning. The flowers lasted a very long time, maybe 6 weeks. It smells like a sweet soap. I love the little thing. It is now growing several new bulbs. Neat little plant.
