Leomesezia (Howeara) Lava Burst

I made an impulse by a few weeks back. I have had problems caring for all my orchids for a few months and didn't plan to get any more... but these ones just jumped in my basket at the garden center.

This was one of them. I had seen pictures of this before but only when I saw it in person did I realise how cute it is!

I usually see pictures of the flowers looking like the first picture here, with the lower sepals tucked up and hidden behind the lip. My plant had a mixture of flowers like that and a mixture of ones like the second picture where they show more.

Oh, and it seems the name has changed. According to the RHS it's no longer Howeara, it's now Leomesezia.

Bright festive flowers. My plant missed blooms last year, maybe this year it will bring forth flowers.

Very cute. I just got a teeny one recently but it actually had a spike with 1 bud
