I just fed it what it wanted - 125ppm MSU mix regularly (Still do) and it just went crazy. 3 flower spikes right now and new growths besides. I am really thinking regular fertilizer (weak) and regular watering while in growth helps just about all these Oncidium class big boys to do their thing. Who knows? Ray? Any thoughts?
What is MSU? Commercially available or do I need to get out my cauldron?
MSU is an anacronym for Michigan State University where the study that led to this mix was done. Check out Plant Nutrition and check it out down through the links. There is one discussing MSU blends.
My Peggy Ruth Carpenter is in bloom right now as well! I love it. This year there is only one spike, but it is a young plant so hopefully next year there will be more.

I think this plant was a 'big-box rescue' last winter. It has been in constant flower since mid-summer. Flowers on the first three early spikes are done. But still have 15 flowers and some more buds on the remaining five spikes. Definitely worth the $2.
