Default Trichopilia suavis

This is the first bloom of my Trichopilia suavis - just the two flowers this time, but I'm quite proud to have these as I've been told they can be a touch difficult.

Unfortunately the plant itself looks rather ratty, with a bad case of leaf spotting and some prematurely dropped leaves. Hopefully it'll pull through, because the blooms are quite lovely and smell marvellous!

Beautiful flowers! I don't yet have this one but it's on my "to get" list. I grow a number of these and, yes, some can be a bit tricky to grow so good job with it.

BTW - the foliage on most of these can and does get pretty ratty...I don't know why but they just seem to be prone to it. I have a couple that are fairly "clean" but most have spots and marks.

Katrina, check with Wayne of Roberts Flower Supply. Had a one at the show this past weekend. Can't recall if it sold or if he has others at his greenhouse.

I just acquired a near blooming size of this plant and it's growing pretty fast! Can't wait to see the blooms!

Thanks Paul! I'll check w/him!

I'm doing an order w/Peruflora next week in prep of the Redlands show and it's on my list w/them but if I can get one w/in the US, I'd go that route first. Thanks for the info!
