Default Oncidium hastilabium

Hi OB’ers, It has been a long time since I posted need to devote attention to other matters. I do remember having threads on this forum regarding Onc. hastilabium. Mine finally bloomed so I wanted to share it. I call it my “giraffe orchid” it is so gangly.

Hi Sharry.

I don't think that's a pure hastilabium for two reasons -

1) The shape of the lip, as they tend to be pointed - "hastilabium" means "spear-shaped lip", after all.

2) In Onc. hastilabium, the patterns in the petals tend to be far finer in appearance - more like many lines than wider blotches.

Thank you for the observation, Ray. It was from a pretty good grower, but they probably got it from an importer.
Maybe it is some sort of natural hybrid.
