Gorgeous little flowers!! I love them. I wish I had more luck with Oncidium types.

Thanks Tindomul! Don't give up on them there's so many to choose from. I've learned Oncidiums in general like a lot brighter light and more water than I expected.

Maybe that was my problem, I was afraid of over-watering.

Interesting in mid day bright sun the red fades some to the more orange color of last year's blooms but then they deepen back to the vibrant red. They're delightful to look at.
See Tindomul, maybe you need to give Oncidiums more of a chance!

I'll quick add that this was in bloom for at least a couple of weeks when I had a pet emergency and didn't water it for four days. Came home found the blooms dying. However after being watered consistently for a few days or more it started to grow a new branch with two buds! Which are now in bloom again with the nice dark vibrant red.

Very nice! I love the tiny spots on the lip. I find mine are almost like Phals in that they will keep on blooming from the same stalk with a 2nd branch. Sounds like yours is doing it too.

Thanks Silken! Great to know it may want to keep doing so. The first time I left the spike but it died. I'll definitely leave this one until it dies.
