Default Onc. Alosuka "Claire"

Hi everyone!
Merry Christmas or whatever holidays you celebrate!
So my wonderful fiancé' got me 3 new orchids for Christmas . I am slowly but surely doing research on them to make sure that I can give them the best care. I have 3 Oncidiums now, the other 6 vary.
Anyways, I couldn't find any information in any of my books or on the web about the Onc. Alosuka "Claire" he gave me. For now I'm just treating it as I do with my other onc.s but if anyone has any information about this orchid, I'm all ears.
Thanks in advance!
Court

I couldn't find that name in OrchidWiz. Could you check the spelling. I Recommend that you contact the grower if the name isn't registered.

Hi,
So I have attached a photo of the tag it came with and the orchid itself. When trying to do research on it I found it may be "Clair" as well but it still led me no where. I will contact the grower as well next week if no one on here can help.
Thank you!

If you have other Oncidiums that are similar, you will probably be okay treating this one in a similar manner.
Good luck with your new orchids!

Thanks!
I do have two others, I have been treating it the same as my Onc. Sharry Baby (my other Onc. is a little different) but I just love fully knowing and understanding what I have growing and Oncidiums have such a wide variety I'd hate to miss something important! But if all else fails trail and error will prevail!
Thank you!

My guess is that is is Oncidesa [Oncsa.] Alosuka. Th description of the tag of bright yellow with dark center also matches the pic in Orchid Wiz. Claire isn't a listed cultivar, but that doesn't mean it isn't accurate.

It is a cross between Gomesa [Gom.] (syn. Oncidesa or Oncsa.) Memoria Kiyoshi Akatsuka and Gomesa [Gom.] (syn. Oncidium or Onc.) Aloha Sunshine

This hybrid takes dappled to bright light and cool to warn conditions which is pretty standard for the Oncidium family.
