I have a couple oncidiums I bought last winter at the local big box store garden department. They are putting on new growth, but seem really crowded in the pots they are in. Would now be a good time to repot them, if so what kind of mixture would be recommended?

I've not had trouble repotting Onc whenever But when there is new growth is ideal. I like coconut husk chips mix; fine bark mix is also a good choice.

Should split the pseudo bulbs or leave in tact and only clean the old mix from the roots and plant everything in tact in the new medium. I have a fine medium with bark perlite and sphagnum.
