Bris Santa Barbara
Huge flowers on this girl. Just crossed this with a bulbophyllum right before the lunar eclipse. Hopefully they don't reject each other

Wow, that's cool! It looks really big in terms of length but is the...bulk of it small?
Thanks for sharing! And I hope your cross is successful, I've recently tell with some failures, keep your fingers crossed and us posted.

This specie is very similar to my Witch Doctor. These flowers have more black and thicker flowers. Same size flowers and spikes.

I have no idea!
But I was told some best chances to cross pollinate are before full moon's. Being that this was a rare lunar eclipse, I'm hoping the universe helps a fellow star child out

Intergeneric hybridization (crossing two plants from different genera) still needs to be between closely related genera. In the case of your brassia, you'd need to stick with other Oncidium alliance plants ( Oncidiinae - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) such as miltonia, oncidium, odontoglossum, or other oncidium intergeneric hybrids.
Bulbophyllums are a completely different, and unrelated alliance. Same with phalaenopsis, cattleyas, and paphiopedilums. They're just too genetically different to hybridize with a brassia.
