Default Brassia 'Noid'

I got this new Brassia, thought it may be Rex, but is a Noid. The bulbs are so large and healthy and smells good too- I hope you like it!

Did this plant come with a tag saying it is Brassia Rex?

I'm asking because the flowers do not look like Brassia Rex, but rather a hybrid of some sort, like Brassidium.

Oooh nice...careful not to knock off the anther caps when you sniff them, the flowers will wilt shortly afterwards. Found that one out the hard way

Coincidental rather than causal.

Taking the anther caps has nothing to do with the flower life span.
I have accidently knocked off anther caps on many orchids, phals, oncidiums, brassias, cattleyas.
It does not affect them.

Maybe yours wilted because the life span was already getting close to the end of it anyways, or due to the change of environment or some other reasons.

You can even cut off one or two petals and that does not shorten up the flower life span.

For clarification- No it did not come with a tag that says Brassia Rex. I thought it was, but it is a NoID! Thank you for all the nice comments~ this one came from trader joes. The anther caps were already knocked off but it smelled wonderful!
