Tolumnia lucayana pink var. (Cuba) in spike finally! Female
Thumbs up Tolumnia lucayana pink var. (Cuba) in spike finally!

I just have to share with you a new development in another one of my plants. I got this tiny miniature little guy in Mar/Aug. I really wasn't expecting this small of a plant and honestly was kind of prepared to lose it but somehow it's pulled through my abuse. I'm well aware the color of its leaves aren't so appealing, clearly I've probably given it a bit too much light but the fact that it has started growing a spike in the last week or so should be a testament to something good happening (I have so far doused everyone once with Kelpmax.)

There was another growth but it died from rot. Meanwhile it grew a new growth and suddenly this plant wants to give me a spike, even if I haven't been watering it much more than a couple times a week (sometimes getting over to it and spraying or watering some since it's so smalls and dries so fast).

Sorry there's nothing really for size in this pic but this pot I believe is one inch. The plant itself is no bigger than a 25 cent gumball. You can be SURE I will share when it opens.

Lookin' good. For me these are so difficult to grow but hope springs eternal! Are the leaf edges serrated?

Thank you!

This has been a troublesome little plant for me; I was pretty sure it wouldn't make it under my care. In fact, it had another growth, one that was new and growing when I got it but then it rotted off. Another new growth started and after I put it outside everything seemed okay. And now I have a spike!!

Yes it's edges are finely serrated.
