Ha!
Last year I got a spike with over 200 blooms, the year before spikes with over 100 blooms, so, while I didn't count these, I can say there's too many to count!

This is quite a robust grower, so it didn't take horribly long to get to this size - it was a 4" orchid from Trader Joe's five years ago
Yeah, it is an extreme space hog now - I used to have several orchids on that table; now it's all Sharry Baby. This will be getting divided soon - tho I will keep one fairly large division, at least hopefully one that will fit in this same (10") pot for a couple of years.

Wow, a little Trader Joe's plant huh? Great job especially! At least you'll have some of it left over and turn some others on to Orchids!
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks!
I'm sure it would be happier to be inside in winter, but it's much too big for my narrow windowsills!

Wow! That's a awesome show! I got my onc. similar to sharry baby from trader joe's too early this year, but it hasn't put out spike yet. Is there any condition to trigger the flowering, such as temperature, light?

Thanks
Sorry - I missed your comment before
I don't know if there's a "trigger" for spiking - mine seems to spike on recently matured growth, regardless of time of year (other than when it's too cold in winter) It has spiked in spring, summer, and fall, and this year late winter. Spikes come after the pbulb is mature on this one - tho others may spike earlier in the growth cycle ...
