We totally agree. Our BC Maikai 'Louise' which we have been growing for 5 years has noe been in flower continually since last August. We have been glad it was one of the first orchids we ordered from Cloud's here in Canada.

Really gorgeous, liking the darker colour flowers. And the plant itself, wow. Great growing there s&k maley.

Silken, since you like the plant so well, if I were you I would look for another clone. Mine is "Magumi" and I think there is also one or two others.

The thought has crossed my mind. Maybe mine is virused too although there is no colour break in the blooms and it grows very well. I think it was a poster on OB who said the 'Spotted Star' cultivar bloomed better than the other ones which is why I chose it

And I do believe you can get a bad plant that just doesn't perform too.
