Best repotting time for pretty much any orchids is the same: When there is active root growth.
It just makes the reestablishment of the plant easier and faster that way.

People who have their oncidium decline upon repotting, probably disturbed the roots too much or did not water correctly after repotting, both of which usually results in plants decline to varying degrees, although this can be easily fixed (with time) once watering is corrected.

Hello Dendy83. This plant came from New Vision Orchids out of Yorktown, Indiana. You can probably get it from any orchid vendor as this is a very popular plant.

I normally cut off the spike when the flowers have gone. But I left the spike on and put the plant away for the season. Today as I was cleaning around the shelf, I found that the spike bloomed these flowers. The flowers seem darker than the first time it bloomed.
