Tolumnia Genting Pink Lady in bloom

I've had this one about 5.5 years.

Growing in a 2.5" clay pot; tree fern fiber with some pumice.

Blooms are about 1" across, 1.25" vertically. Plant is about 5" tall. Spkes are now starting to develop branches on lower nodes.

I don't know how many growths are in the pot - a lot, and they're quite crammed in there!

Wow that pot is packed!! I got my first one about 2 months ago, first Tolumnia that is and I didn't know what to think at first about the plant overall. It's been in bloom now for several weeks and it's grown on me no doubt. It's great to see what they look like down the road with more plant and more flowers, thanks so much for sharing.

I saw these for the first time ever last week and thought it was a new hybrid. lol

My favorite tolumnia is Pretty N Pink (or is it the other way around??), and Genting Pink Lady really resemble Pretty N Pink, except they have varying amount of yellow. I've seen a few that had so much yellow that the flower looked peach leaving just hint of pink near the edge of the petals.

I picked up 6 tolumnias in spike. all different varieties. I thought I would like to have a surprise when they all open up!
Some have three spikes! I've never seen such well grown tolumnias.

Yours look great with leaves all staying short and close together.

I gave them strong light when I had them before, but the leaves will get really tall and big.

I've been giving my Buck Hollow x Sib sorta strong light (it gets direct afternoon light which I know is generally a no-no) and today i checked it and it looks like it's growing MORE buds from a different node, it's been in bloom for several weeks. I'm so much happier with this genus than I first thought.

I should say that this south-facing window is relatively shaded so the light, while at times direct is limited.
