Temps also can affect the color intensity, and color can also fade with age.

This time I had provided higher light and cooler temps and the results are bigger, better and a much red flowers!!! I have to be honest that I got a little bored with this one cause of the uninteresting blooms compared to the pictures I saw from the website I bought it from so I hanged it outside with my vandas and forgot about it and it re-flowered from an old flower spike and these are the results!!

Beautiful flower, love the color. I have yet to bloom my first Tolumnia sometimes in the future :-)

That's incredible! Thanks for sharing. I have Tolu. Buck Hollow which rebloomed this spring, though the difference was not nearly as dramatic, I too had more vibrant colors, red & yellow, the red was most vibrant. I bought it in spike last year but this year I have kept it bright.

Well done & that sure does seem to make it even more interesting than if it had come the color you expected.

Now I'm thinking of getting more tolumnias since it's so easy to just hang 'em anywhere bright.
