Miltoniopsis question
Default Miltoniopsis question

Hi!
I just bought my first milt about 3 months ago at an orchid show. It had 2 lovely spikes which have long faded. I put the plant outside-- and now i see a curious new growth, what is this? Spike? Weird root?

The location of it suggests to me that it's new growth.

It doesn't look like any of the new growths I get on any of my Miltoniopsis. It doesn't look like a spike either. Keep us updated on what it is in the end.

Its been a while-- but i was thumbing through my phone and found an updated picture of it and thought maybe it could benefit someone else.

It was a new growth. It grew in like an ingrown hair under a mass of thin roots! Unfortunately, i dont have photos of the leaf being larger bc it eventually turned yellow Other than one or two leaves that turned yellow the plant seems fine...

Hmm.. not sure why the photo didnt work :-/ How did i figure it out the first time and not the second?
