Colm. Massai Red 'Anthura' blooming again
I got this in bloom on Valentine's day earlier this year, and already it is blooming again! After it bloomed I kept it outdoors in San Francisco (then here in San Diego), and it's already blooming again. While outdoors in SF, it got a little attack by snails, as you can see by the foliage. But not too much damage. When I saw the color at the SF Ft. Mason orchid show, I couldn't resist! Easy grower! One is some of the flower spray, the other a closeup.

That is absolutely gorgeous! I really like the contrast of textures of the glossiness and that velvety looking lip!

Gorgeous!
I haven't one and it grows outdoors year-round (except the very coldest nights, like now, when it is in the uninsulated garage) in San Jose. Doesn't miss a beat! Has a few spikes now. As cold as the night temps have been, I hope the spikes will be ok ... (along with other in spike / bud orchids in the garage)

Festive bright color! The texture of glossy and velvet is really what makes the flower unique.

Tommymiami: You can see how I couldn't resist it!
WhiteRabbit: Does it basically bloom with every new growth? It has another plant maturing now off the same parent pseudobulb.
Bud: That's another part that grabbed me, the glossy, sparkly petals and velvet lip, with that amazing color.
MrHappy: LOL, like the way you put that!
Kindrag: I wonder if it'd grow as well in Texas with the warm nights, it seems pretty tough here, but we always go at least into the 60s at night, even if it gets 100 during the day.

I love the color!! The pink lip really makes it pop. In the first pic it looks like it has other spikes growing, or is that from a different plant?
