Camille, the other spikes are from another orchid that didn't have a label (or I lost it), but it's pretty clearly an Alceara.

Mine has bloomed on every new growth, but that's been seasonal itself. Right now the least matured of the new growths haven't spiked as of yet.

WhiteRabbit, it'll be interesting to compare notes as I have this one. So far it seems a very vigorous plant.

I bought one of these at an October show and it is indeed *very* vigorous - I would say almost on par with Sharry Baby. I went to repot mine after it's flowering and it turned out to have two new growths and lots of new roots starting. I've found that orchids tend to have a "grumpy" period when going from greenhouse to growing inside my house - not so with this orchid. It's growing very well. I'm very pleased with it! The plant I have was actually able to be divided and now they are in S/H culture.

This is probably unorthodox, but I typically repot every orchid I get as soon as I receive it, putting them into clay pots. This keeps them from falling over outdoors, and they seem not to mind. I do it even in the middle of flowering (like this one in February). Plus, it looks nicer having everything in a similar pot.

Yes, very robust! Mine was out of bloom in a 4" pot when I got it. Due to the huge mass of looong, fat (for Onc. alliance) roots, I had to repot to an 8" pot which it's filling quickly!
