My TJ carry lot of Miltoniopsis in the spring and oddly in the summer. The thing is, they almost always look dead I wonder if anyone ever buys these from TJ.
I did buy on rare occasions a few fresh looking ones, but strangely they will all wilt in a couple of days.
I no longer even look at Miltoniopsis at TJ.
I buy from other flower shops when I see them.
Then again, your TJ might have these in better quality.
The fragrance is just to die for!!!

Really?
We get them in sporadically here at TJ's.
They are normally in pretty good shape but can be sad looking on occasion.
Actually normally it's just tons of spies and buds with one or two open flowers.
But I've never seen a white or soft pink one! The two colours I want them in lol.
Can you share your culture? Ihave also steered clear of them because of the "cool growing" aspect.

The most common colors are the soft pastel yellow, like Andrea West, and white the dark brown mark and yellow mask on the center, like Herr Alexander at my TJ.
Occasionally sold dark red or Hajime Ono looking stuff. Never seen pink.
I have two pink bought from Hawaii. They are quite nice but the thing is when grown warm like in my apartment, all the flowers open up so bleached out almost white. I hate it.
So growing these plants is not tough but the flower quality does drop unless the ideal temperature is met, which is hard to achieve for a home grower like me. oh, well...
That is why I buy and toss. hahaha

I only ever see red, fuschia, and dark pink. Over and over and over and over.... yellow would be pretty cool to find as well...
Yeah... a few of my plants just aren't performing well, or I just don't like the plant shape. Some of them I realised I simply don't really care for the flowers anymore.
I might follow your lead and toss them. Or I might perform mad experiments on them.

I mean at $12.99, I would buy them any day if there were in good conditions. These usually last in bloom for about two months, so it's really great value.
Thing is no more Miltoniopsis from TJ for me. lol
Even if I pay more, I still buy and toss. still months is well worth the money I think and these are always around.
