that MAY be an Oncidium varicosum. There are thousands of Oncidium hybrids and thus almost impossible to 100% identify. IOSPE PHOTOS
The good news is that varicosum is fertile. I suggest you try a selfing as an experiment. I only mentioned ploidy because I didn't want you to become discouraged from experimenting if you thought it was something you did that caused the pollination to fail.
