Thank You !
I don't say the name out loud in public for fear I might be laughed at....I just make sure the name is spelled correct.

I knew the name will be changed on this orchid....its just such a tongue twister that the Botanists themselves are laughed at when they say the name out loud.

I love the blue sky in this photo. It really shows your orchid off well.

Thanks You for the visit!
I just follow my tag if it came from a reputable grower. They change orchid names when they have new findings either in DNA or in flower form so I let a couple of years pass by , then if they don't change it again that's the time I change the tag.

Hey Bud and Tommyinmiami
if you or some friend would look this one up in OWiz, and you find it has some Brazilian miltonia in it, you probably could try this one in Miami.
The name is from a famous Dutch or Belgian orchid importer, breeder, seller in Europe named Vuylsteke.
Like the naming style goes, they added the "ara" to the end of it to show it is multi-genera.
BTW -- same goes for Beallara -- Beall company of Vashion (sp?) Island Washington, and Degarmoara for Lloyd deGarmo.

Thank You, Rex !!!!
We know how the orchids are named. Its just that they are renamed when they get new findings or DNA results and sometimes the form also is a great factor in naming it. Maybe the head botanist who is in charge of the department of naming orchids did not like the names of the people who did the hybrid and spent money to register it. This RHS honchos can have the power to rename orchids even if it was named by Carl Linnaeus himself.
