Psychopsis: two simultaneous blooms from one stalk. Common?
I have a Psychopsis (I'm not sure the cultivar, I think it's Mendenhall) that has two open blooms from the same stalk. The stalk, after not flowering for a few months, sent out a bifurcation. The blooms are side-by-side and look great. Is this a common occurrence? I've searched for photos and haven't come across this phenomenon on the internet.
I'll post pictures tonight if there's any interest!
Happy plants can do a lot of things! Here is a (backside) pic I just took of one of my
Psy. Kalihii 'Green Valley' Alba Yellow
This one branched into two off this spike (bifurcation, you just taught me that word), and each branch often has two flowers open. Three are open on it right this minute - two, and one.
