Unhappy Beallara colorless blooms

I got a Beallara Peggy Ruth Carpenter 'Morning Joy' a week ago. When I bought it, there 3 flowers were open, all the lovely purple color this orchid is known for. However, the 4 flowers that have opened since then are all white/green and the spots are a pale purple. Is this due to growing conditions, or is it 'just because'? Anything left to do to ensure the remaining 4 buds are normal colored blooms?

For what it's worth, I have same plant and sometimes the blossoms are real strong purple stripes, other times pale. I still don't know why. I wouldn'r worry about it, if this were my plant. Still smells fine, right?

Smells nice, but I'm kind of disappointed by these not so pretty flowers. I love purple!

Mine are spiking 5th time for this year! So just hold tight. When the new growths get far enough allong, they will spike. There doesn't seem to be a certain time of year for this champ! Some blossoms will have strong purple banding, others not.

Mine's fairly small. Three bulbs, and two of them each have a spike. There is one new growth coming off the third bulb. Do they spike several times off the same bulb?

Nope! Not more than 2 spikes from a new bulb (one from each side - usually just one). but there could be many more new growths following this bloom. New growths lead to new spikes!

Warm temperatures and low humidity will cause buds to develop with washed out colors in these crosses. Keeping them coll while buds develop is the key to getting the most saturated colors.

Thanks Brian.
That's exactly the conditions my orchids are in. I do my best without a humidifier, but a pebble tray and draping wet towels on my radiators don't seem to have been enough. All the flowers are open now, and it isn't that bad I guess! No scent on these though. Only the purple ones where scented.
Next time it blooms, I'll be careful!!
