I have just ordered a Colmanara Wild-Cat Orchid Oncidium Miltonia Odontoglossum.

the plant is absolutely wonderful!! Really awesome, only problem is I have not been able to find any type of care information thus far. Any pointers on how to care for it. I don't want to kill such a cool plant!

here is a picture of the orchid by another member:

Colmanara Wildcat

Cymbidiums are a totally different kind of orchids and a totally different culture to follow.

Right I understand that. What are the requirement for this one, the colors should be a green/purple color really pretty. It is also bloom size and very healthy. It has new phulbs coming out as well.

I have it sitting above a ice tray filled with water, facing a West facing Window gets plenty of Early and late sun, I also have a mid clear size plastic container hanging with water as well to help with the humidity, day temps are around 80+ during the day and at night 65-72. I also close my white curtains, to help with the humidity. I have around 6 other plants in the sill to help with the humidity as well. you actually just commented on it actually.

Mine is in spike right now, pretty great plants and one of my most reliable bloomers. I keep it in a west window, water it one or two times a week, fertilize once a week and it does great.

@Digriz thanks! I hope this one will bloom well for me as well. I was so surprised it was so big when I got it. It was 12.00 online! Score for me!

I've grown mine in all sorts of light, all over the house and in the greenhouse. It's done fine pretty much whatever I've done to it. It's my only oncidium to not have had problems at some point due to my inability to grow this sort. (Apart from an initial problem of something eating it, not my fault and I got rid of it )

Anyway, search for care on Colmanara Wildcat without the hyphen. The Oncidium Miltonia Odontoglossum bit you have in the name is just saying that it's a mixture of those genera, commonly used name for it is just Colmanara Wildcat, although the RHS has now reclassified it as Oncostele Wildcat... cause they like to keep changing things. Most stuff about it online will still use Colmanara though.
