My spoils from the orchid show!
East Baton Rouge parish has it's annual orchid show and sale this last weekend, and I purchased too many orchids! Most were of the oncidium alliance, because these are my favorite to grow. I grow them outside during the spring/summer/fall months and bring them in around the end of November for a rest.
I got a Brassia, a miltassia, another one I don't remember the name of off the top of my head, a brassoleliocattleya, and of course, a big floofy cattleya that I guess doesn't belong in this forum but it's pretty so it's getting added.

They all look beautiful!
Nice purchase!
My Tahoma Glacier (looks similar to #3 but less spotting), Brassia and some other intergenerics are in bloom.
They are lovely!

Sonya, they look fab! I will be in PA at the end of next week and will be stopping at Parkside for their fest. Thinking of picking up something small.

Looked at the tag. Third pic is a Beallara, Tahoma Glacier "Sweet Sugar." I first saw one awhile back and was on the lookout for another since.
A few pics didn't attach, so here are a few more, including one of me with the big floofy cattleya. And the dendrobium I picked up for my mom.
I think I was the youngest person there.....apparently there aren't many 24-year-old orchid hobby growers.
These are all new varieties for me, except the catt. Not quite sure how to grow the Blc. Lol.

Keep in mind that most of my orchids are growing outside, in close to triple-digit temperatures. They stay in shade and get pretty fantastic wind. We've got pretty-much-tropical weather here during the summer.

The tag says Shelob "Red Spider."
They're all so pretty. I know I need to put them outside but I'm keeping them in because I like staring at them
Well the catt is outside under my mailbox so I see it whenever I pull up after work/class. I have random orchids hanging off of my house. Front yard is fabulous for these guys.
