Another amazing catch from TJ.
I went in to pick up a few bottles of Franziskaner and some snack sunday evening, and on the way out, this beauty caught my eye.
It was in good shape with tall spike with many flowers. came home with me.
It appears to be a division as I do not see those typical tiny old pbs. Just one older pb with two spent spikes and a newer pb with one branching (5) spike loaded with nice flowers.
The whole plant is quite petite for intergeneric, so I'm really happy with this plant.
Leaves on the older pb have these fine black spots (rather different than the typical oncidium spots) which appear to be natural. All the leaves on the newer pb are perfectly spotless and clean green.
I peeled off some dried up plant parts at the base to see if there are any new growths emergin, but I only found one tiny (and looking dead and flat) thing.
Hopefully there will be a better one sprouting after the bloom is gone, but for now I am happy with the flowers.
