Default Staking Psychopsis

I have a Mendenhall 'Hildos' I believe, with four spikes. Two are in bloom and the other two coming on. Does anyone stake these spikes, or partial stake.I have one spike three ft. long and its not spiked just moving gentlly in the breeze. The spikes do seem to entangle themselves.

My spike is close to 3 ft long and I staked it part way up. The remainder is still waving in the breeze! Looks like a hovering butterfly! Yours is pretty.

Usually I leave mine unstaked because its the most natural way to present your orchid's flower. People tend to think that they have to stake it but who stakes them in the wild. Your flowers looks very nice. Wish I can get one but eventually I will. Are the plants big?
