Default Psychopsis Pavane, first bloom for me

I got this plant bare root from H & R in Oct. 2012. This is the first bloom for me and there is a bud right behind it. It likely would have bloomed sooner but when the spike was about 4 inches tall, I somehow snapped the tip off and it took forever to decide to continue growing. I've also attached a picture of the plant. The leaves are the nice mottled type. The blooming pseudobulb has also started a new growth.

Thanks Monika. I've only had mine since last fall, but it hasn't been hard to grow so far. I kept mine as warm as I could in the greenhouse over winter and in medium light. It bloomed and started a new growth! I have heard these don't like re-potting so I potted it in Orchiata mixed with some perlite. Then it seemed to be laying so sideways in its pot and rather crowded so while in bud I carefully moved it to a slightly larger pot and tried to orient it upright a little better. It didn't seem to bother it and the buds continued to develop and now bloom.
