Default Miltoniopsis Lennart Karl Gottling 'Hula Skirt'

in full bloom.

This is a new member to my collection for instant gratification.

I've seen many different varieties under the name Lennart Karl Gottling. very interesting.

I like how the flowers are more star shaped with pointy edge that unfurl straight out without curling.
It's got four spikes on two pbs.

My Milt. Flourence "Breathless" is blooming again. just opening up today.

The spike grew facing down from early on and I couldn't "fix" it as it was really rigid. It's amazing how such skinny little spike can be strong enough to hold five big flowers without breaking off.

Enjoy~

I bought the red one in bloom.

The reblooming one is not without issues.
The color is really washed out and the lip won't open up completely. and overall flower size, especially the lip, is smaller.
Maybe temperature that is higher than they like and probably the low humidity.

Wow beautiful. I have Miltoniopsis Lennart Karl Gottling "Alex". I hope it will be as nice as this!! Although my plant is quite large I think it will be a long while till I see it bloom (purchased from a vendor at a show without checking the roots, not one to be had!)....

This clone is supposed to be quite fragrant, notice anything from yours? I was told baked rhubarb.

Mine is not really scented. It is VERY faint.
Maybe it is already too hot for the plant.
The other one, Flourence "Breathless", is about the same. nearly zero fragrance.
Oh, well...
