Default Tolumnia Genting Pink Lady

Growing in a 2" clay pot, with some medium tree fern fiber and a bit of pumice. Watered usually every two days in warm weather (a little extra spritzing in extremely hot, dry weather), about every third day in winter. Grows in a south facing window in winter, a west facing window for a bit in spring, and then outside to make sure it gets sufficient light.

It hasn't bloomed in years following summers I haven't put it outside, so I don't think my windows (outside of the south facing window in winter) get sufficient light for this one. I do have a very sunny east facing window - it is in an unused (except by my cat) room, and plants in that window tend to get a bit neglected, so I prefer not to have a plant that needs frequent water in there

Thanks for looking

I have Tolumnia Pink Panther that has almost exact same flowers. basically Pretty N Pink with spots.

Pretty one!

Two spikes make up for a long bloom drought I'm sure!

I saw when you posted that one, and thought the same - they look very much alike!

Well, at least this time it has only skipped one year blooming (previously had been a couple of years), and when it bloomed the last time, it also had two spikes on it ... At least I now have it figured out that I need to put it outside in summer to get it enough light. Thing is, I don't want to put it out side now that it's finally blooming again hehe

Thank you!

Beautiful, Sonya.

I love these plants but find them to be a little fussy.

Nice Sonya. Really like Tolumnias and their colourful flowers. Lots more potential with all the intergeneric breeding with Rodriguezia, etc.

Thanks

Took a while for me to get blooms - insufficient light apparently.

I had two others which got repotted after I had finally got them to bloom two years ago, and both quickly declined after . I don't know why, as both had been previously repotted when I got them. I did change the media from charcoal to tree fern fiber and pumice - but this one has done fine with that media...

Now this one is out growing it's pot, and I'm a bit worried about repotting it
