A New Pink Miltoniopsis
Default A New Pink Miltoniopsis

I got this one from a local grower this week.
The tag on this one had product numbers instead of a name, which the grower himself could not recall.
He said it is pink something, but would find out the name and get back to me.

Nice flowers on small plant. no fragrance though.

Yes, very nice flowers. How different are Miltoniopsis culture from Oncidiums? I like these "pansy" orchids, but have not ventured to this side of the alliance.

Thank you, all!

MattWoelfsen- Miltoniopsis takes similar care as oncidiums with two main differences. They are less tolerant of drought and heat.

The leaves will get easily accordioned when watering is not correct.

The growth in general is quite slow but these plants throw lots of new shoots after flowering is done.

Every time I buy miltoniopsis, someone always comments on the mask or waterfall (if present) on these flowers.

It is such a tiny plant but with four large flowers, and a second spike with two buds is developing.
