Three Tolumnias spiking

Pink N Pretty (or Pretty N Pink, I never seem to get the order right, lol )
which recently finished flowering with 13 flowers and some extra off the branching spikes is growing a small spike on one of the two small growths.

Next two photos show Genting Orange, which I dropped once last year, the whole thing fell off the clay pot and I just pushed it back in in a very lazy manner as you can tell by the way the roots are all over in the air, is finally spiking on one the small growths. This is one of the many that suffered underwatering last season skipping flowering in the fall.
I'm definitely repotting this after flowering is over.

The last one is Popoki Mitzi. This one also suffered some severe dryness. I thought about dumping it but just repotted and kept it. very diligent watering brought it back to life and now it is growing a promising thick spike in over a year!

Th first two are hanging by the south facing window and the last one is sitting in a 3in plastic pot right up against the same window.

All get misted multiple times daily if possible. They are soaked for 10 min to three hours (communal bath, so they share whatever one of them has lol) about twice a week depending on how active they are and how hot it is.

I normally do not leave them in water for three hours but sometimes I forget about them in the bath and do other things. then I step inside the bathroom and go, "oh, my! I did it again!"

I have Genting Angel in bloom right now. How I wish mine grew so vigorously. We'll see how they do this summer when they are outdoors. I've got them hanging in their little pots from at the top of the greenhouse for max light. The ones on a mount have been in a heating mat. Based on your other recent posts. I wonder if I need to water them more.

Do you have an outdoor greenhouse?
As long as you keep them on the dry side during the winter, I think they should be fine. Well, then again, it depends on how cool it is in your greenhouse.
They won't easily die, but keeping them cool and dry will slow their growth a lot.

With proper temperature, good watering is very important as such tiny clay pots dry out very fast.

Genting Angel is the white one with red spotting all over, right??

Before I moved to this apartment, I had a very large north east facing window. nothing blocked my windows so it was very bright in the early part of the day. not enough light and warmth for tolumnias though. I kept most of them on the dry side and they were sleeping until the spring came.
I had one under a halogen lamp the whole winter. about 6 in under the bulb. That one kept one growing and even grew one spike in the middle of the winter. of course I misted daily, morning and night.

My "greenhouse" is attached to the house and it goes to about 58F at night and 68F during the day (with no sun). It is a converted screen porch. A picture of Genting Angel in below. Now that it is getting warmer, I will start to water/mist more - I see a few fans starting.

Your Tolumnias look very healthy and happy. I have one blooming on its second spike. I'm really starting to like these little guys.

That is not too bad at all then. They may hault growing under this temperature range, but you still need to water them often enough to keep them wrinkle free.

As day temperature hikes up on sunny days now, you want to water them good.
Even one or two hours of sun is enough to dry out the tiny clay pots I find.

Thanks.

I just have to find a way to keep them from drying too fast as the days are getting longer and hotter.
