Miltoniopsis Don Egger
This is an award quality plant from a very high quality cross. This was the only plant out of 15 with a black mask, most had dark red masks and great form. When it gets big enough I'll take it in for judging.

Why am I only looking at your plants tonight? LOL. Another fantastic plant!!! Hey why does it need to be bigger for judging? Don't they judge on flower quality? Or is the size of the overall plant important as well???
It's interesting to hear about the different judging between countries. I've bought the AOS handbook just to understand the differences a little better than I currently do.

This plant only had 4 flowers on one spike. It is genetically capable of more flowers, maybe 5 or 6 and should produce multiple spikes to get an AM. It's a good grower so it will be ready in the next year or two. My region has seen a lot of high quality miltoniopsis over the past 20-30 years, so the bar is set pretty high.

Ah ok that makes sense. I look forward to seeing pictures when it's awarded.
It's a real beauty.
